GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Rodolfo Cota was named winner of the 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League’s Golden Glove award presented by Allstate after helping Chivas to its second CONCACAF title on Wednesday, prevailing over Toronto FC 4-2 in penalty kicks following a 3-3 tie on aggregate.
The 30-year-old played in seven of the Guadalajara club’s eight games, allowing just three goals and posting five shutouts.
He is the fifth Mexican to take home the prize in the six times it has been presented.
