The Montreal Impact’s quest for their second SCCL final continues with a home date at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada, against Honduran giants Olimpia. The Impact edged Costa Rica’s Deportivo Saprissa in the previous round, advancing 2-2 on away goals, while Olimpia stunned reigning MLS champions Seattle Sounders 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a thrilling 4-4 draw on aggregate.

In the previous round, the MLS team marched to a comfortable 6-3 aggregate win over AD San Carlos of Costa Rica, while the Mexican side needed a last-gasp goal from GK Nahuel Guzman to down El Salvador’s Alianza 5-4.

The seven-time Concacaf club champions needed a 5-3 penalty shootout win to eliminate Guatemala’s Comunicaciones in previous round following a 2-2 draw on aggregate, while Atlanta United topped Motagua of Honduras 4-1.

March 12 @ 10:30 pm ET: Los Angeles FC (USA) vs Cruz Azul FC (MEX)
The action shifts to the west coast on Thursday, with Los Angeles FC hosting Mexico’s Cruz Azul at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California. LAFC are coming off one of the greatest comebacks in SCCL history, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to eliminate Mexico’s Club Leon, 3-2, in the Round of 16. Meanwhile, La Maquina used a commanding performance to defeat Jamaica’s Portmore United, 6-1.
