PACHUCA, Mexico – Pachuca attacker Hirving Lozano earned the Golden Boot award after finishing as the top scorer in the 2016/17 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League with eight goals.

The 21-year-old struck four times in the Tuzos’ 11-0 win over host Police United on September 13, 2016, a feat that tied him with four other players for the second most goals scored by a single player in a SCCL match.  He also netted twice as Pachuca defeated visiting FC Dallas, 3-1, in the second leg of their semifinal series.

Lozano joins Ulises Mendivil (2009/10, 9 goals) as the only players from Pachuca to lead the SCCL in scoring.
